The Oakroom at Oakwood Premier Joy -Nostalg Center, Ortigas

We wanted to have a nice, quiet dinner one Saturday night. In the course of the conversation while cruising EDSA, one suggestion reigned supreme. Oakroom at Oakwood Premier. True  enough, the place is remarkably cozy, perfect for a romantic rendezvous. Parking was great, the staff were courteous, the service was good and the food definitely deserves a great review.

Refreshing Lemon Daiquir
Justin: This was my third visit to the place. I had my usual Jack and Coke. And, just like my previous visits, I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant.
It's cozy, relaxing and fancy. It really suits me well.

The food was great despite some lapses in the pizza preparation; The server was pleasant and alert.

My expectations were exceeded when they managed to rectify an otherwise horrifying experience.

I would say, I won't mind going back in the near future.
Their take on Italian Sausage,Cheese and Mushrooms Pizza
Sam: I practically gorged myself with junkfood and I didn't care. The Daiquiri was a real refresher and it certainly put me in a relaxed mood that completely matched Oakroom's.  For the pizza, such flavor is among my favorites so I told Justin to get their version of it. The pizza took a while to be served and as we took a bite, we shared the same reaction. Ekk.  rubber. It looked like it has been kept in the freezer for a long time then taken out to be reheated and served. It seemed like the ingredients were "grouped" together, ( as in MS word, if you get my drift). We  immediately called the attention of our server, Kristina. She was quite attentive and she addressed our concern right away, informing us that a fresher pizza will be served but it may take some time .

The ever famous Giant Nachos Plate or whatever they call it.

We were okay with it since a big, sinful plate of Nachos were right in front us, ready to be devoured. I'd say it's the next best thing to Ristras'.Oozing with cheese, chicken and olives, Oakroom's Nachos has just topped my list of guilty pleasures. We really enjoyed it. and just when we thought we couldn't "bite off any more than we could chew", the pizza, perfectly done this time, was served. It was really good. Crispy, cheesy and meaty. But then again, I had only managed to finish a slice and just had the rest sent for take away.
I really liked my Oakroom experience. I'm so looking forward to my next visit. =)

Suggestion/s:  never ever serve frozen- then- reheated pizza.
